The soil was still soft from the burial earlier. He knelt down and put his hand on the headstone, running his finger over his brother's name.
"I'll get you out of there, Jeff."

Matt smiled as he stood up straight, firmly gripping a shovel after leaning the other against the headstone.

The digging was hard work at first, but his body got used to the motions before long and he was shoveling away like it was nothing.

He soon unveiled the casket, grinning successfully. "You'll be out soon, Jeffro. Don't worry."

He pulled the door open and stared down at his brother. He was so still. He almost looked to be sleeping.
"Let's get you home."

He picked up his brother's body, groaning due to the dead weight.

He carried him to the car and laid him in the back seat. He returned to the grave and hastily closed and reburied the coffin.
