A/N: Uh. This is gonna be really fucked up. Seriously, run now. XDD
The weather seemed to match the occasion perfectly; the sky was grey and cloudy, rain threatening to fall at any moment. A good hundred or so people stood around the small tent, most crying. At the front were three good friends, and the father of a man whose life had been so tragically cut short.
For Matt, crying was never an easy thing to do. But it came naturally today as he watched his brother's coffin being lowered to the ground. His best friend, Shannon, who stood at his side, was chewing on his lip, fighting back loud sobs. On Shannon's other side, was their other close friend, Shane Helms. He was just as distraught, but displayed his emotions differently.
"You're supposed to flip it around, so he goes in head-first." He whispered loudly to the clergyman, who glared at him. Matt hit him on the back of the head.
Jeff's death came from a botched Swanton.

Jeff was going against Randy Orton when he went for a his finisher, the Swanton Bomb. Instead of flipping all the way, he landed on his head, knocking him out instantly. The referee called the match off, motioning for the EMTs to head down to the ring. It also didn't take long for Matt to rush down the ramp to check on his baby brother.

He never regained consciousness. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and put on ventilators. After several days and no signs of improvement, Matt made the almost impossible decision to pull the plug.

Matt chewed his lip as he reached for it, his hand shaking violently. He didn't want to do this, but he knew that it would better, to not let Jeff suffer like he was now. He gripped the plug firmly, breathing deeply before pulling it in one shift motion.

He watched the younger Hardy's pained expression go blank and his breathing slowed to a stop. As devastating as it was, it was almost peaceful to see him relieved of his pain.

He quickly started to feel tears stinging his eyes as he started at his brother's body. A couple of them escaping, rolling down his cheeks.

As the funeral ended, people left. Matt just stared at the headstone with his brother's name.

Randy walked up to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.

He shoved him away. "Don't fucking touch me!"
Shannon pulled Matt back.

Randy scowled. "What? Don't tell me you're going to blame me for Jeff's little accident!"

"Get out of here, man." Shane demanded, stepping between Randy and Matt.

"I have no problem with that." Randy waved before walking off.

Shane watched for a few minutes before trying to pry him off the headstone. "We have to leave, now, Matt. I'm sorry."

He reluctantly got to his feet. "Good-bye, Jeffro." he whispered and ran his hand along the rough cement headstone.
