It was nothing short of a grueling match, more mental than physical. Jeff was sick of his brother and his actions, and Punk was losing what little patience he had left, waiting for a good time to talk to the younger Hardy. He was fidgeting with the laces on his boots, watching Jeff wipe the rest of his paint off with an old towel.
"Jeff, can I talk to you?" he asked quietly.

Jeff pulled the towel away from his face, looking at Punk curiously. "What about?"

He swallowed hard, trying to get the lump out of his throat.
"You and Matt used to be together, right? Like..." he looked down at his hands, his index fingers touching. "Together."

"Was he..." he got even quieter. "Your first?"

He had tears rolling down his cheeks. He was ashamed of himself, of being gay, and if he couldn't even talk to Jeff, he was lost.
